What is saddle leather?

Full-grain leather is the topmost layer of the hide, found just below the animal hair. Saddle leather is naturally vegetable tanned and hasn't been buffed or sanded. This means that all of the natural strength and durability of the hide are retained, making it a much more resilient material than any other type of leather. It comes with natural markings that make each piece unique—and grows a patina as it ages.
