A glance at the history
Renia started out producing leather cement, finishing wax, shoe care products, and floor wax. They quickly identified that the future lay with other products: modern, up to date adhesives and their additives, for bonding materials used in shoes as well as high tech adhesives for industrial use.
The company began producing adhesives exclusively for bonding leather in 1951. These products are still used today, as cement for transmission belts or leather soles. In 1952, polychloroprene (CR) or fast drying cement was introduced and modified versions of these products are still produced today and sold world-wide.
