Kangaroo Leather |
All leathers, (except Red Hide, White Hide and Chrome Grith) are vegetable tanned, using genuine crushed Oak Bark and Mimosa, sourced from the highest quality tanneries throughout the world. All leather is only produced and sold in sides. The approximate area of each side averages in excess of two (2) square metres or twenty (20) square feet.
We offer several different colours in most ranges.

Hot plating results in a smooth even surface with a greasy feel, the grain has a satin finish that will take shine.
Suitable for all harness and general saddlery work.

Description :- Dry base leather has a sealing agent applied to both surfaces. The seal consists of a synthetic wax and solvent which is applied to both surfaces by hand, hung in a controlled heated atmosphere to aid solvent dispersal. The side is then hot plated to give a smooth even finish. The finish has a waxy/oily feel on the surface with the grain having a semi - gloss appearance and will take shine without any further finish.
Suitable for all saddlery work where a waxy feel is required with the characteristics of dry leather.

Description :- Dry leather has a dry crust finish. Both surfaces, grain & flesh, are smooth plated in a hot press, this results in a smooth flat finish. The grain has a dull satin finish as a result of the plating. The dry leather has a firm feel and has excellent water absorption making it ideal for all moulding, carving and tooling applications.
Most suitable for saddle production or for where a dry and/or firm leather is required or when subsequent dying or finishing is required.______________________________________________________________________
